In response to client requests I am writing a “Weight Loss Book – 20 Tips!” I have collected many words of wisdom throughout my 22 years of helping people take control of their health. I would like to assist people make permanent change in the way they think about food and beverages.

Tip: Erase the word diet from your mind and vocabulary.
You are not on a diet. Studies show diets fail 95% of the time. The word “diet” implies a short term change. You are now adopting a healthy lifestyle to last a lifetime. You are adopting healthy eating behaviors to last a lifetime. This mindset will help you lose weight and maintain the weight loss.
Being at a healthy weight is an ongoing goal which requires consistent attention. Just like when you are driving, you still need to check your surroundings, be mindful and know where you are going.
Being aware of what you are thinking, about to eat, and the effect this food will have on your body becomes part of your daily routine. This is part of one’s daily living, just likes brushing your teeth, washing your face etc.
