Your Stress Affects Weight Gain and Loss
Stress eating is real. Studies have shown that if you are stressed while eating, you are more likely to put on weight. Stress releases Cortisol, the “Fight or Flight” hormone that causes insulin resistance and increased fat storage.
If you are under constant stress, then everything else you are doing – counting calories, fad diets, consuming weight loss bars and shakes – are just not going to be enough to help you reach your weight loss goals.
Most of the clients I see already know that they aren’t always making the best food choices. They are educated on portion sizes and counting calories.
